Lets See your Zoanthids

I just wanted to see some of the Zoas the people here have in their systems. Here are about 3/4 of the ones I have. Got to get pics of the latest ones from the swap (6-8 new varieties) and 4 colonies in the main tank.

Those are some nice looking blues.

When I get a chance I'll try to post some pictures of mine. The last time I counted I think I had >30 morphs.

Let me know if any of those Desert Fox zoas ever fall off!

That yellow watchman looks familiar, as do the Nuclear Greens.

lol theres a couple more of those that should also look familiar (2nd to last pic)

desert foxes haven't looked too good lately.... PRPE's are on deaths door.... birdsnest colony fell on my amor of gods.... pink elephants are still in the mantis tank and are dark brown....

but i was really starving my tank lately.....so thats prob why allot of my zoas are looking pale and not doing well. now that i'm going to start feeding more often hopefully my zoas will start coloring back up and looking better.

not many were local, most were gotten from trades all across the country. and i've only purchased small frags.....never have purchased a colony that i can think of.

as for the local ones......i got the eagle eyes, eye of rah and the RPE's from Atlantis...years ago (within the first 6months since they opened their original store).

zombie eyes came from twon8 a couple years ago also.

the PRPE's came from a guy in Radford....and the rest came from people all over the country.

i highly recommend learning how to ship corals and do some trading.....its lots of fun!

When I bought my live rock, there were about a dozen of these orange guys (Orange Delight?) on it, now there are hundreds:

I'm always on the search for more of the green stuff, these have taken off nicely and are attempting to keep my blue milli in check:

Some nearby Watermelon's from Al, some pinks, and a hint of my Bam Bam Oranges (I've got a rather large group of them):

Watermelon's from Pearson:

Gorilla Nipple (they were obviously named by some deviated pervert) in the center, Devil's Armor in the top left, some pinks, and a new group of purples that I'm hoping will color up and become more prominent:

Reverse Gorilla Nipple:

By now, I'd imagine most of Richmond has these "purple w/ green skirts":

Something I picked up over the summer, the yellow skirt and centers caught my eye:

Probably some of my favorites corals in the tank, the light hits them just right:

When I picked these up, they were a beautiful glowing turquoise:

These are ok, you have to get real close to see any redeeming qualities in them:

Under the 20k bulb, these have been turning into an insanely bright pink:

I haven't been able to get any pictures of these blue zoas that I'm really satisfied with:

Some more of the good green:

These Eagle Eyes recently died unexpectedly

Something else:

I tell everyone with great pride that these Radioactive Dragon Eyes came from 'da Deltec tank:

You can never have enough of the green:

Thats most of the decent zoa pictures I had laying around. In conclusion I'd like to acknowledge the contributions of my peppermint shrimp who keeps my zoas looking nice and clean:

Someone pointed out to me that I incorrectly identified my "Radioactive" Dragon Eyes, they're just "Dragon Eyes".

Um, I believe those are Radioactive Alien Eyes that you gave me. But since I've never seen a dragon or an alien in real life, much less a radioactive one, it's hard to keep these names straight.

The names make it easier than saying "these zoas with an orange center, a dark mouth, and this greenish yellow skirt" with everything. But beyond that, they're cr@p.

Though surprisingly, Brandon's porites looks just like him.
