GE Silicone I
can GE silicone I be used in aquariums? I know that silicone II has some kind of anti-mildew thing in it so it messes up your tank. but is number one ok.

Yeah silicone I works good. Silicone II has a mildicide in it that can be harmfull.

At least the older silicone I door and window does not have the bio-cide or what ever they are calling it now in it. But the kitchen and bath does, so stay away from it.

What are you wanting to silicone? There are better products out there, depending on how strong you need the bond to be.

I am just putting in baffles for a sump and other things like that. What are the other products that are stronger ( I am assuming you are saying stroger for tank building).

Apparently GE scs1200 & GE RTV108 are the best.

Are you sure this has no chemicals that would leak in if used on the inside of an aquarium? :-) Paul
