Squid And Natural Wave?

Has anyone tried a wave strip on the Koralia pumps?
&
Whats everyones thoughts on the squid on a mag drive 12 or 18?

I am going to run 4 - Koralia 4's on my 220 and was wondering if I could put them on a wave strip of wave maker.I haven't decided yet if to go with the mag drive 12 or 18 yet, but I figure why not put a squid on the return in place of a T and hopefully I get a little wave action out of it if putting the 4's on a wave maker is a bad idea.

I have owned a few squids (SCWDs). They work OK. A couple of problems do present themselves though. the flow is greatly reduced bigtime. Also the tend to stop working after about 6months. Calcium buildup locks up the gears and they will no longer switch. Soaking them in Vinegar helps sometimes. For wave action i would check out www.oceansmotions.com

My koralias click when they first turn on on my pulse duo, which gets annoying when you are sitting 3 feet away.
