Anyone have a large softie tank, 150+ gal?

I am planning my tank that will be 265-300gals. I will have only softies. I am choosing only 6-10 species of softies and allowing them to form large colonies for a natural look. It seems that all of the large tank folks have sps. I frequent the large reef forum often and I think only one or two had a soft coral dominated tank. I am hoping to see some more pics here so if you have a tank like this please post your pics.

A friend of mine has just started a 230 gal soft coral tank. He has some toadstools, colts, sinularia, anthelia, xenia and various polyps/zoos and will probably get some mushrooms as well. The only issue I can see him having is a tank that is dominated with the colour pink.

Thanks Markus. I have seen your tank thread. It's beautiful. I like the large colonies you have. That's what I plan to do, let them grow out into masses. It looks nicer than a tiny piece of this and that imho. What is the large piece in the center top of the tank?

Hello Amanda,

thanks

thats a Nepthea - one of my first corals I got from a colleague. Over 5 years old.
I frequently give away frags of it.

I have a colleague who has a 66g tank (250x130x70cm) thats mainly larg colonies of xenia and Entacmea quadricolors and one really very large soft coral (more than 50cm in diameter only) and several bigger fish - it looks great.

regards

Markus
