UV and ich

Can I cure ich using a UV sterilizer?

I figure when the ich leaves the body to propigate, the UV will kill it as it passes by the sterilizer... is this a good guess?

alot of people are skeptic about using a uv steralizer. but hence "steralizer" dosnt really kill but steralizes the organizm to not reproduce. in fact helping to reduce the outbreak. I have combated ich using this method with a cleaner shrimp, garlic gaurd feeding atleast three times daily for upto 8 weeks. depending on wattage of uv and tank size may need to reduce water flow through uv.
