zeo / low nutrient tanks seem to pay more attention it. iirc, lack of it can cause pale color / low growth.

usually low K levels are related to pale monti's not acros...pale corals in general is usually nitrogen related... easily fixed by feeding more and AA's.

I use it, and yes, I am a zeo user but only 1 month into it. I dosed potassium for 1 month before starting zeo because my levels were way below natural seawater which is about 380. My levels were about 275 before I started. Now they're about 375. From reading that forum (zeovit.com) I saw that there were some people complaining of faded out colors and even TN on pink birdsnest coral, stylophora, montiporas, and after they brought up their K+ levels to "normal," these problems went away. Some wondered whether the zeovit system itself was responsible for leaching potassium out of the water colum, but some of the more knowledgeable people on their said that the increased growth caused corals to utilize the K+ moreso than the zeo rocks leaching it out. To back that up they cited incidences of non-zeo tanks with similar problems that improved when they increased the K+ in their tanks. Part of the problem is that most ASW mixes are low in that nutrient. Seachem Pro Reef salt is one of the only exceptions I know of, and Reefer's Best by Korallen-Zucht, (but that salt is SO expensive....)

Seachem makes a Pro Reef Salt too or do you mean just Reef Salt?

I mean just their Reef Salt as opposed to their Marine Salt.
