Oceanic is owned by AGA but is run on there own. Oceanic is a better tank, more attention to detail, workmanship and materal. They both hold water. Tempered glass is used on some bottoms rearly on sides. Tempered glass is cheaper to use on bottoms because it stonger and they can use a thinner piece of glass. Thicker glass is more expensive then thinner tempered glass. If your bottom is thick glass then it is most likely not tempered. Most Oceanic larger tanks do not have tempered glass. Do not think just because a tank is drilled it is not tempered because they could have drilled the glass before it was tempered.
