HELP! Which would you choose?
Now I'm confused!
 I need to choose a skimmer for my future 55 gal. mixed fish/invert. It will have a 30 gal. sump w/DSB. I would like the skimmer to either be in sump or if HOB then it must be capable of being hung on the sump. I've had people say Aqua C is best choice,and others say Aqua C is junk, go with Euroreef Rs80. I can't afford two skimmers so help ! I'll go with the majority choice - Aqua C or Euroreef Rs80? Which would you choose? I want efficient,quiet and no microbubbles in my tank! |

for in sump i choose aqua c because it is almost maintance free

Definately Euroreef of the 2.
Even better, get an Octopus, spend 20 min modding it, and get a better skimmer than both for less $.

I have an Aqua C it's junk, don't buy one.

i run a stock Octopus NW150 on my 55 and am pleased with the results. Can't beat the price...

Nice thing about the Euroreef Rs80, other than the rather great repuation for actually working. IS that within that premise and the confidence by your peers who use them. Is that should you need to upgrade or god forbid get out of the hobby. You will not have a problem selling it.

Most of people's hate feelings of Aqua C come from the Remora/Urchin line. Their EV-line however is very solid. An ev-120 would be killer in there.
