Who has used Black Dow Corning 999-A Silicone?

Someone pointed this out to me in the Spec Sheet..Anyone have any insite to this? I heard this was the good stuff to use and want to e sure now after reading this...

LIMITATIONS
Dow Corning 999-A Silicone Building
& Glazing Sealant is not recommended
for use in applications involving:
• Structural silicone glazing
• Joints where physical abuse or
abrasion is likely to be encountered
• Prolonged water immersion
• Porous surfaces, such as masonry
• Building materials that might bleed
oils, plasticizers or solvents –
materials such as impregnated

Not sure what your using it for, but most people recommend this from Dow Cornering for our hobby, the 795

Thank you, I'll check that out. I planned on using it to build a glass tank. I'm surprised nobody else chimed in. I've seen this silicone recommended here, and planned on using it. I guess I should probably change that plan

NO silicone manufacturer will recommend you use their silicone in water.

I just built my tank using the 999-a and I went thru the same thing your are now looking for more information.
