Similar to Josh125 and a few others, my tank room is also my home theater. I just finally go the tank on the stand yesterday. As soon as I finish typing this, I'm plumbing the tank:
Tank: 82x45x28 Acrylic - the biggest dimentions that would fit thru various entryways and stairwells into my basement. Soon to hold the contents of my current 200 gallon reef + 4 Tunze streams and a lot of light. Filtration: In the laundry room next door. You can just see the door frame on the right in the 1st picture. 180 gallon divided in half by a sheet of black acrylic. 1/2 macroalgae refugium, 1/2 prop tank. Also, a 120 gallon Cryptic zone (dark tank full of lots of small sponges and sea squirts). Finally, a 20 gallon equipment tank for my old skimmer, heaters, water topoff, etc... All sharing water level with the main tank, and 1 BIG airlift providing water movement between the tank and the filter room. I'm still waiting on the 180 and the 120 drilled to my spec. Room: 19.5' x 14.5' x 7.75' Behr Premium - Midnight Sky Sandwash paint Not quite finished yet - Still need to finish the trim and the DVD shelf in the front right corner. I'm also putting black velvet across the white ceiling above the screen to minimize the distracting reflected light during movies. Theater: Sony VPL-HS10 projector + 100" Stewart Firehawk Widescreen Elran Cynthia - 4 recliner theater couch Homemade Speaker Kits from Parts Express Aura Pro Bass Shakers on the couch (Awsome)

Actually in the midst of a change. Found some cabinets I can hide my Ca reactor, Kalk doser, Chiller etc. etc. in. Ones that match the wood I used in the rest of my place.. So I had to grab two. I'll go buy the doors for the cabinets tonight and put some pics up. Probably tomorrow. Tho I don't know if I want to show it.. Some great rooms guys..

Great thread! Please keep the pics coming.
We are building a new house and I need all the ideas I can get.... Unfortunately I lost the battle for a dedicated fish room, who says the kids need a bedroom?? But I was able to move a wall in the living room to allow enough space to plumb out to the garage. That was an easy win though, the darn chiller makes too much noise. Same thing with the electrical - I've dedicated 4 - 20 amp circuits for our future 240. 2 of the circuits will be wired separately through an auto switcher that will have multiple batteries for the pumps. I'm not taking any more chances with power outages......... Now if I could only come up with a safe way to put a large sump and fuge in the garage. I don't want to take a chance on contaminants getting into the water. Fuzz |

In Photo Shop resize it to 480 X 640, or there abouts.
Go to File...and Save for Web. Play with quality to reduce file size and save. |

Haven't finished putting all the equipment in the cabinets properly yet. Or the mirrored doors.. But here is my set up.
I only live in an apartment so I can't be having the massive home theater systems like the big boys. I like it tho. It is really hard to take shots of my place with all the light from my tank. So they are a bit dark. lol

I'm not as concerned about the vacuum lines in the carpet as I am in that STUFFED CHICKEN IN A CAGE in jdair101's picture! There has to be a story behind that!

I'm just wondering how stircrazy was able to incorporate the wonderful look of cinderblocks into his TV stand....
