Looking for Pistolshrimp & Goby

Hey everyone.

I was over at Charles' (Delsol) place, and I could hear his pistol shrimp popping and it seemed really interesting. I'd like to have one or two.

Do you know where I can find pistolshrimp? And their Watchman Goby companions?

And do I need to purchase them paired, or can I throw the two in and they'll find each other?

And what happens if I throw two pistol shrimp and two watchman gobies in at the same time?

Thanks all.

Tom

Not too sure where you can get the pistol shrimps, but watchmans are everywhere. I currently have a stonogobiops nematodes w/ an alpheus randalli and I bought them at separate stores. The pistol shrimp was introduced first and didn't get to meet his little goby buddy until a week later.
I don't think the 2 pistols and 2 watchman idea is good. There would probably 2 goby/shrimp pairs and I think the gobies would fight with each other. Unless they are paired..then that's a differnt story. Just guessin here.

Tom, check with both Chris ( Aquatic Central ) and Tropical Aquarium or Ocean tropical in Taraval. Both stores in SF. I know and seen them have a couple of nice Tiger Pistols. but Yasha pistol is the best looking IMO.

Lucky goldfish in san jose has 1 more pair. I just picked up the other pair this morning. They also had what i think was a banded goby paired with a pistol......i think.
