LG Voyager experiences?

Looks like the Mrs and I have decided on new LG Voyager cell phones. Anyone have one? Any positives or negatives? Are all of the voice/data plans confusing?

I'm thinking about one but my plans going to be crazy. Probably around $80 a month based on Verizon's site. Just since I'll get the internet and all the good stuff like that.

Dang, the plan we were looking at for unlimited voice/messaging/data would be around $140 per month for 2 phones. That's actually not so bad. We're paying almost that now for our 2 "normal" phones.

Luckily, my Sprint contract expired in August, so I'm free to switch.

Bump for the morning crew.

I have another question of someone who has one of these.
I like to carry my cell phone in my pocket. Can I do that with this one without constantly turning on the touch-screen and draining the battery? Some sort of screen lock?

Tagging along since my contract with T-Mobile (T as in Terrible) ends in TWO DAYS!

The Voyager is on my short list.

We're going to try Best Buy and Radio Shack, but I'm afraid it will be like trying to find a Wii. Every website says "Limited Availability."

Well, I can wait if I have to. Maybe I'll wait for the next generation of the iPhone.

No iPhone for me.
If we can find the Voyagers in stock, I should have a review by the end of the weekend.

Just got back from the Verizon store, where I ordered 2 of these. If the order was processed in time, we might get them tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then Monday. I get a corporate discount from my employer of 21% so that's pretty cool. That's on purchases and monthly bills.
If we get them tomorrow, I'll post a review Sunday.

Ah, I forgot to mention the plan I chose. I went with 1400 talk minutes, unlimited texts, and unlimited data. It would have been $160/month for 2 phones, but with my employer discount I think it came out to $132/month. It's probably too many minutes, but we can bump it down to 700 minutes at any time for $20 cheaper.

This sounds like a cool feature. If a song is playing somewhere, you can hold the phone up so it can "hear" the song. It will ID the song and offer it for instant purchase and download.

Verizon issues

Be careful with Verizon - we went with the unlimited plan and they still ding'd us twice in 2 months straight for the VZ Navigator program at 9.99 per month - even though it is included for FREE with the unlimited plan... just keep an eye on your data charge section of your bill to be safe...after calling they "credited" us for the charges - so i paid the bill (-) minus the $9.99 and when i checked tonight as my bill is due to post again for this month it showed a balance due of $9.99 (VZ Navigator) so I had to call and complain again to get them to "credit" it for us... also if it is anything like the TREO for signal strength reception - get ready for dropped calls or missed text msgs....the TREO 650 sucks in that department....

Great to know, thanks! I'll definitely watch for that.

Can you post a picture with a Reef Central thread up?

What do you mean, like photobucket pic URLs? You can click on any of the normal thread buttons, and tpe in URLs.

It's been pretty easy to set up so far. Just got all of my contacts typed in. The browser is decent, and pages load pretty well. You can move up and down or side-to-side just by dragging your finger across the touch screen, and just press the links you want. Got the GPS and voice driving directions all set up. That looks pretty cool.

I'm posting this pic from the Voyager as a test:

I do really like how easy it is to type on this thing!

One thing that is a little annoying with the web browser - there isn't an easy way to refresh the pages. You have to go through the menus to get to refresh. That's a pain with things like RC threads, or else it will just show you the cached page you saw earlier.
