hichhiker crab.. found exoskeleton

I found a sheading of a crab i believe. it's about 1/4 inch claw skeleton. it's 2/3 yellowish/orange and 1/3 black tip.

What kind of crab/lobster/shrimp is this????

It's hard to know what it is without a photo, but I'd suggest you make every effort to get it out of your tank. It isn't always easy to do so, and it might take some time before you actually catch it for removal, but for the most part, crabs aren't a good addition for your tank, particularly hitchhikers, without a "reef safe" probability.

i have know idea if it's a crab. actually looks like a lobster (crush claw). my tank is 180gal. with 200+ live rock so there is no way to catch it.
I never saw the crab/or whatever it is just found the exo.

Well, aqua...again, without knowing what it specifically is, it's difficult to speak specifically. I would say, though, that if it is a crab, the black claw isn't a good sign because it generally signifies an aggressive crab...maybe a Gorilla Crab. I have one in my 120-gallon reef and it's actually cost me many...many...hundreds of dollars of coral that it destroyed. Most recently, it destroyed a Tort acro...after never having done any damage to SPS, prefering zoanthids, mushrooms, rodactis, etc. I've found it impossible so far to catch it but I'm getting closer after it did enter a trap to take a shrimp, but getting out before I could get it. A modification of the trap is my hope...I'm, for the first time, a little optimistic.

get several glass tumblers, lay them up slightly against the live rock and put a bit of shrimp inside it. You'll catch everything you don't want to to start off with but after a while you'll get one you didnt buy!
