How am I suppose to use this site without search?

Hello All,

You know, about 99% of the time when I log in here I can't do a search cause of high server loads. Can someone tell me what the hell I am suppose to do if I cannot search. I mean it basically makes the forums useless.

Suggestions.... If I contribute will I get a search engine that works more then once a day?

Well, you could start by reading this:
Search Engine Questions

And you can use this for free:
Google Search

Hope that helps. Enjoy RC, as time goes by, you will find it is much more than a data base

Nobody's Search ever works....
Hit "GET NEW" up at the top, and you'll get a listing of all messages since last visit, at least those that are within the last week. "GET NEW" puts the most recent at the top, so you can deal with those, hit "GET NEW" again and see if anything else interesting has popped up in the last 10 min.

Thousands survive without it, maybe they'll chime in. Or you could go to the top of this forum and find alternatives. Personally I usually scan through the posts and rarely search anyway.

enter site:reefcentral.com infront of your search keywords at www.google.com, which will narrow your search to just reefcentral's website.

For instance if you were searching for hairy crab you'd enter

site:reefcentral.com hairy crab

You've been given options, make the most of them.
