Acrylic Bonding Agent Dangers?

RC Members

A local plastic fabricator made an acrylic water top off reservoir for my reef system. The acrylic bonding agent they used was Weld-On #16. The odor of the bonding agent is pretty strong. The MSD sheet is pretty generic. The manufacturer IPS said if allowed to cure for one week there would be no issues putting it online in my system.

Does anyone have an experience with this bonding agent? Does anyone have any safety concerns or recommendations?

Thanks, Mike

Weld-On #16 and #4 or 5 are typical bonding agents for acrylic. IPS is right on, allow it to cure and then put into service - no issus

I've used Weld-On myself. It's fine.
