Would it be a bad idea to introduce a powder blue to my 125 that already has a good sized purple tang??

mixing tangs after one is established is a crap shoot and the purple is pretty aggressive. since the pbt has a different body shape, i'd give it a shot. try to get a pbt that is bigger than your purple.

You will have fighting thats for sure. PBT's like to establish themselves. also a lot of people will tell you to QT them because they are ich magnets.

They're not as bad as people make them out to be. I have a PBT, a Yellow and a Tomini tang. Every now and then the Yellow gets a couple spots of ich but the PB almost never does. It's all about health.

How long have you had your Purple Tang in the tank? Powder blues can hold their own and can be pretty mean once they're established in the tank. Until that point, however, I think the Purple is going to beat up on the PB pretty good. Not worth the risk IMO.
