First major snow in Buenos Aires since 1918

Side effect of global warming ?

Thousands of Argentines cheered, tangoed and threw snowballs in the streets of Buenos Aires on Monday as the capital's first major snowfall since 1918 spread a thin white mantle across the region.

Ive got a question for all the Global Warming folks.
If it is in fact global warming why did they have snow in 1918? Was the snow in 1918 an effect of global warming from coal burning? Or does this snow have nothing to do with global warming and is truly a freak of nature or an odd weather pattern?

Global warming is to blame for everything. If its hotter than normal, it's GW. If it snows somehwere it usually doesn't it's GW. Hurricanes and tornado's? GW. Crop failure? GW. Bad hair day? GW. Can't balance the checkbook? GW. Either that or blame Bush. Wait a second, isn't he known as GW? Hmmmmmmm.....

Weather phenomena are just that. Global warming (or global cooling) deal with long term trends and averages.

Global warming more or likely has nothing to do with it. Snow in Buenos Aires in the winter is a rare event but not an impossible event.

If it was an impossible event then he would not be posting those pics....

Sorry, but in my book, they don't cut it for a "major snow storm". When they get 3 feet of snow in 8 hours, they can ring me to go and see.
