Newbie 10 gallon Nano, lots of pictures

The homeade Auto top off piece.....what is the purpose?
I am not looking for stop the water flow into the tank unless that is all it does. I have never seen or heard of anyone using one and I an new at this so I ask alot of Questions.
This is a standard tank you are converting I see. Did you change anything in the filter?

Yeah, that's the beginning, I'm planning buying a bew power bar and I want to clean that mess out to me more secure!

The Auto top off piece you see is actually a float switch that detects water levels... when it is too low, the switch is stating a pump to add water in the tank so it keeps the same level.

Yeah, I'm using a standard tank... I didn't change anything in the filter, but I removed the "bacteria support" and I'll have to clean out the filter every weeks because I don't want it to start biological filtration... that's the live rock's job.

Thanks... and I was suprised that it works GREAT!!! My water level has been constant ever since!
