Buying Colored Acros

Does anyone have any recommendations of on-line sites that they recommend buying SPS corals from? I am looking more for colonies of Acros than for small frags.
- Thanks

reefscience has some nice SPS. I've been to his facility, and all the SPS are nice colonies. No tiny frags and some nice colors too.

I will caution you of one thing....wild colonies are somewhat hit or miss. I've had much higher mortality rate with the few wild sps I've bought than with aquacultured frags and small maricultured colonies. Even the ones that make it don't necessarily look anything like you hoped when you bought them. I have 3 or 4 wild pieces that I'm very disappointed in, to the point I've considered giving them up to replace them with something that holds its color better. IMO, any coral that someone has gone through the trouble of propogating probably selected it because of its coloration and growth in a tank environment.

jeffbrig makes a very valid point about what corals are selected for culturing. His experience mirrors that of mine.

If you want to buy colonies of great colors instead of 1 and 2 in frags go to zoanuts.com and look at the selection he has. You won't believe the size and colors.
