Reef Chemistry Calculator !
Do you think this website for Reef Chemistry Calculation is accurate !
http://home.comcast.net/~jdieck1/chemcalc.html becouse this website said (Balanced Alkalinity for 470 ppm cal is 5.45 meq/l at 470 ppm) i think the KH must not over 4 meq/l ! |

The calculator is accurate for calculations, and it is accurate for determining what is "balanced", but you should never take that "balanced" value to mean it is a suitable target value.
All it means is that if you start with natural seawater and add or subtract a balanced amount of calcium and alkalinity (that is, matching the deposition of calcium carbonate, or 20 ppm calcium for each 1 meq/L (2.8 dKH) of alkalinity, you get to the values shown. That has some utility, but not as a target for a reef aquarium.
