Check out atlantis aquarium and aquatic gallery, if you want to see some nice stores w/ higher-end corals.

I moved up from SB; lived in IV for 5 years without experiencing liver failure.

There are a lot of shops you can stop in and check out. I'll just name a bunch so you can look them up and decide if they are on your route. I'll put a * next to the ones I like especially.

starting from SJ to SF.

Atlantis Aquarium *
Aquatic Gallery *
Amazon Pets
Dolphin Pet Village
Aquarium Concepts (never been)
Aquatic Central *
Ocean Treasures
Tropical Reef Aquarium
Lucky OCean

There are more that I haven't mentioned, but I'm sure it's a good enough start to get you going.

Ah I was only thinking of fish stores. I second the Steinhart aquarium. It's a temporary location righ tnow, but they have a cool 2 story reef tank. Worth a visit.

I used to drive by that hose (down by the marine sciences area) all the time, 5 gallon jugs in hand. As much as I miss free saltwater, I don't miss lugging those things up the stairs =D.

What years were you there?

For some reason I never kept a tank while I was there =( It was only after I graduated! So dumb!

I was there Fall of 2001 to Spring of 2005. You?

I think the reason my student debt loan is as high as it is, is because I had a reef tank in the later years of college.

Was there from 98-2003, but stayed in SB until 2005.

I really miss it; if there were any networking jobs out there that paid decently, I'd probably move back

You know you're a hardcore reefer when a coral blinds you from seeing cute girls !

Hasn't Cirque du Soliel moved to San Jose? I know it's going to.
