I'd bet that thing is old and will likely die in 2-3 months at best. Beautiful animals but best raised from WC eggs so you can enjoy them for the whole year+ lifespan....

If it is Sepia Bandensis it most likely has no more than 6 months to live, I would guess closer to 4. If it is a bigger species like S. Pharonis or S. Officinalis (I believe they live 18-24 months due to their size; not positive though) it probably has over a year to live if given the right conditions. It could be a cuttle that isn't commonly kept as well. I would find out the species before you buy it. You could try sending an email to LA asking where it was collected. That should help at least some.
They are better raised from TR eggs, although they are uncommon. |

i just thought i would post it. i am not paying $149 plus shipping for something that will most likely die pretty quickly.

I was betting its S. bandensis. If its another larger species it might live longer.....

S. bandensis has a shorter life span? I know S. officinalis live about 18 months under the right conditions, but you need a big tank.

Sepia Bandensis is a small cuttle that gets a max of about 3 inches in length. Smaller cephs don't live as long as larger ones, which is why S. Pharonis or S. Offincinalis will live longer.
