It may be adjusting to the new light/water. How long did you put in the tank?

My xenia draws up whenever I stir things up in the tank - even slightly. Also right after a water change. My xenia is my most sensitive coral, it seems.

I had one that did this and it ended up losing the stalk and the head just floated around the tank. I put it in a breeder with some rubble and it did okay. I would just leave it alone for a while. I know, you have, but xenia hates being moved and the light is different from where you got it.

Ours did the same thing. It looked great after we bought it and brought it home, but now it is all but gone and the remains are doing good and on a comeback.

It is my understanding that Xenia prefers the water a little "dirty" My first thoughts are that the water may be too new.

I had the same thing happen when I set up my 37 cube and transferred all my 10 gallon nano stuff into it including the water and the sandbed and LR. All the xenia I had (pom pom and elongota) looked like yours and then worse and eventually all died off within a month. I have one small elongota piece that has survived near the bottom of the tank. My guess would also be nutrient poor tank.
