my new dream tank

Well just upgraded again,
but.......
its in utah

48"x 48" x 28" = 280 gallon cube really sweet tank, custom made by the guy, front two corners are bent for smooth look, two corner overflows. Stand is custom welded with built in 90 gallon acrylic sump, all skinned in ABS plastic. 5- way return system with one constant return. Solid CNC machined top and bottom.

I think it will be sweet, I'm leery about an acrylic tank, but I guess I'll just have to be careful. Downside it will officially take up 1/2 of our duplex in utah, I dont need a kitchen table this will do fine...

I'm pretty sure I paid less than the cost of the scrap acrylic to build it. The builder sets up tanks for docters and such he's building a custom 10 ftx12 ft cnc for those big projects i guess.

Bad news only way the fianceemonster agreed is
1. no new equipment (I think I can swing this although i do need a ca reactor)
2. I start selling off all my stuff here
3. $50 a month reef budget ouch!
4. She picks out all the fish
5. She does all the rockwork
6. hopefully there is no six.....

I guess I'll just have to deal with that for now....
So if anyone is looking for a complete setup, I'll have my 120 4x2x2 and 180 listed here by january.

Let me know what you think of the tank and how we should setup the rock work.
thanks,
Kyle

Re: my new dream tank

Hey I'm in Marion also. I just set up my 55g.
That tank looks very cool. I like the bent corners.

Wow. Nice.

What kind of condition is your 125 in?
What's included?
What are you asking?

here is the picture of the tank as it is now *i'm dew2louds fiance* it has a very nice red cherry stained stand. I am not sure what we are asking for it, but it does have a few scratches on it *not that noticable. We can sell it as a whole setup. It has very large pieces of live rock in it that probably weigh about 50 lbs easily. the current livestock in it is a flame angel, purple tang, lawnmower blenny which can go with the tank. We are planning on keeping the clown pair, and flame hawk though. not sure on corals but between the 180 and 120 we have a ton.

it has been running with one 400w halide above it, but would work will with a 2x250. i'm sure kyle can get a pic of the stand for you.
