My blue carpet
Well, I lost my green yesterday.
the blue one is still doing good all things considered it's mouth is still a little bit open and it is a tad bleach. Sorry for the bad PICS but my camera skills are even worse than my computer skills.   Shot with DSC-S60 at 2008-01-01  Shot with DSC-S60 at 2007-12-30 Shot with DSC-S60 at 2008-01-01

Wow That blows. I have always wanted a blue one but afraid to take the chance. I have a green one I got off a local reefer. He is around 10 or 11 inches. I have had him for 5 months. Every nem i have bought died with in a week or two from lfs. Good Luck

Those gigantea are just not the easiest things to find in good shape, are they? The collection and transit seems to take its toll. The blue one is looking good. What do you think happened to the green one (what were the signs and symptoms)? How long have you had the anemones?

It sounds like maybe a bacterial infection is what killed the green one. The blue looks good, so hopefully all will be well. I just saw where you said you got them in on Friday. I think having a clown, like your little perc, that is the right size for the anemone--as yours is-- helps the nem to acclimate.

Maybe try an antibiotic treatment? It would be shooting in the dark since we don't know anything about the bacteria in question (if the culprit is indeed a bacteria) and would be guessing at an effective antibiotic against it, but we know that this anem was exposed to the pathogen.
