diy rock

does anyone have any good diy liverock plans. I'm planning to set up a 65 wide and i want to make my own rock to minimize the pest that come with some store bought live rock. Alson does anyone have any good suggestions on what to seed the diy rock with. I was thinking a hand full of my live sand might be enough but i'm not sure.

your gonna wanna get "some" live rock to seed with. get some with some good coraline growth if you can. after that it is just waiting and it will all be seeded and the coraline will spread. It took about 7 months for mine to get encrusted. My 180 gallon take is about 95% DIY rock and 5% LR that i bought off someone. you could also check out garf.org for DIY LR Plans. and of course as john said, "The Ultimate DIY Rock" thread that has split like 10 times. Hope you have a lot of time to read that. Good read though
