Open brain and some puzzling behavior...help!

Morning...

For some time now our large open brain has been acting strangely. It's all come together in the problem that he shucked his 'skeleton' and is now sort of a jellified coral that's on the bottom of the tank without a 'skeleton.' I'm not sure what to do and would appreciate your suggestions...i.e. should I epoxy him to the comb like hard coral 'skeleton' he abandoned or leave him as is until he finds a resting place. He's very much reduced in size...used to be the size of a very large apple and now is perhaps the size of a plum.

Could you possibly post a picture? This could be a type of asexual reproduction. If that is what happened then I'd suggest just leaving it alone and see what happens. Trying to glue it to something at this point will get you nowhere. Just observe.
