Did you get the AC adapter directly from Lou at American Marine USA?

I did some work for him to solve the mystery as to why my salinity monitor was going nuts with the ac adapter. Turns out that he needed to put a 9 volt voltage regulator into the adapter. If you got yours from a store then you may not have that version.

I seriously doubt that Lou recalled every single unregulated adapter out there in stores. I'm betting that there are still some that aren't regulated floating out there in retail stores. Shoot Lou Dell of American Marine an email asking if he will send you a regulated power supply.

By the way your numbers go up really fast and then fall slowly don't they?

this is a common problem with the American marine ac kit, the are prone to electrical interface from magnetic filed's created by ballasts, heaters and pumps,

move your monitor away from any other electrical device in your tank or sump or install a ground probe in your sump, if you can't then test samples of water away from the tank
