returning to the hobby

After a year off I'm finally returning to the hobby. Those who remember me will recall my 150 sps tank sell-off to buy our new house. It's been hard to stay away so now I'm coming back.

I just found a aga bowfront corner tank that I'm setting up and wanted to see if anyone had a good source for LR and LS. I'm living over in the Glendora area now.

Ken

Welcome back Ken. I don't have any LR of LS to offer you but if there is anything else I can help with, just LMK. I am not that far from you, just 15 or so mins east on the 210.

Miguel @ Fragglereef was selling LR for $1 per lb last week. You might want to contact him & see if he has any left.

Great to have you back Kenfuzed! No better time than now to find good deals on this forum. Anyone familiar with RC knows that once the heatwave is over, the sell-off begins.

Is this the Ken living in SFV before? I thought you had a website before about your tank. It had a refugium full of xenia. I don't remember being a 150g sps tank though. Perhaps this is another Ken?

WOW, great to see so many familiar names still here.

I'm hoping to find some established LR but if not I'll go with the virgin stuff. Didn't there used to be a place in Chino or Ontario that sold it cheap?

I'm also going to be in the market for a small skimmer. The one I held onto from before is that custom AquaC which is much too large for this tank and stand. Need something to support a 65g setup, with a small footprint and quiet. The Remora comes to mind but I'm open to any new ideas that may have been improved upon while I was gone.

Anyway, great to be back!

Ken

I'll have to stop in and see Eric now that I live so much closer. Last time I was there I must have signed over my paycheck, so that place was always dangerous.

It looks kinda real but it's heavy. Amazing stuff, break a piece of and the coralline has grown inside the rock.

Are you thinking about the one in Chino that has it for a buck something per lb? I think it was called Ocean Pro Aquatics or something.
