Hermits in broodstock tanks

Is there any reason not to do this? Will they eat the eggs or should I expect that the clowns will guard the eggs from the crabs?

Also, I have a 60 gallon breeder tank (15"h,40"L,20"deep) that has a pair of GSMs in it. Would it be a bad idea to put a divider in the tank and place another pair of clowns, different species, in the same tank?

Thanks, Matt

depends on the type of hermits, but many of them will take whatever free meals they can catch. Not unitl the stock is older would i put a potential predator in

Small hermits such as blue legged will go unnoticed by the clowns and may steal eggs. I think it would be fine to put a nother pair in the tank as long as they were small such as ocellaris or true percs. You may want to give the maroons a little more room since ocellaris would only need an area about the size of a ten gallon
