Restarting rotifers

My rotifer culture crashed a month ago, but due to the lack of time I haven't touched it (i know eew).

Any chance I could restart the culture with whatever is in there? Or do I need to order new cysts or starter culture?

most likely you will need to order new cysts,

you could try a massive waterchange, removing the bad water thru a filter and give it a spin and find out.

I tried it, didn't work for me. All I got was bbs and copepods. Guess those cultures were more contaminated than I thought.
