New Alameda Aquatics

Howdy All,

I was just wondering what the status of New Alameda Aquatics is? I haven't been since the store restructured and got new hours. Any info would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Josh

I see that their website is still up but only has corals posted. Does anyone know if they carry fish/inverts still?

I went by there last monday and of course it was closed (awful hours), the phone number is no longer in service so it's impossible to get a hold of the store. I take it their going out of business?

Also his mailbox has been full for the past week...

I thought they're only doing online/Ebay type sales unless you call them up to schedule a time to come in? correct me if I'm wrong here.

The last I knew, they are open on weekends.

I was there a couple weekends ago. I saw Dave, and he said Steve was out of town.

I just stopped by there this afternoon, but nobody was there.

I'll check tomorrow sometime.

Anyone get a chance to stop by this weekend? Do they have any fish stocked? I too can not find a phone # that works for them Man, I left for three months this summer come back and New Alameda had their reduced hours and Octopus Garden was closed...stinks. I've been trying to get into Albany Aquarium more, Steve did a good job getting their salt tanks back up in order, but they still have a long way to go.

There is a lesson here, try to support your local shops, even if you have to pay 15% more on a bottle of Kalkwasser, having the satisfaction of a neighborhood store that you can easily visit weekly is well worth that extra 15%.

Cheers,

Josh

They don't have any fish or inverts from the last time I was there. That was about 3 weeks ago. I haven't seen Steve for god know how long. Dave is there at some of the nights.

I picked up a nice Challice two Sundays ago. After talking with him, it sounded like Sunday afternoon is your best bet.
