what would u plug into backup battery?
i was looking at apc model that will handle up to 840 watts ...and up to 110 minutes of run time. then i went to their website and noticed run time at full 800 watts was something like 8 minutes and at half wattage run time appx 16 min. its seems like it will run 100 watts for over an hour....so my question is should i run mag 12 that controls returns and overflow (120watts) or 2 tunze 6060 that are in tank for flow (appx 22 watts). any input would be great , thanks in advance

I would only run one stream if those were my options. I run a nanostream off of mine.

i was trying to find out what ...if any benefits to run pump to circulate water from sump to tank or if just tank circulation would suffice in a power outage emergency. the 22 watts would be for both tunze 6060's ....so i guess that would be more realistic for circulation to last a couple of hours during power outage.
thanks sergio |

water movement will do you just as well as circulation from sump to tank

Air lift setup would run a long time with low power consumption.

I would go with 1 efficient pump and 1 heater. The mag 12 is not efficient.
