Niger trigger with Snails/Crabs?

I have a juvenile Niger Trigger about 3-4" in a 180 gall. FOWLR. I also have 145 lbs. of different Live Rockin the tank. The rock is starting to grow quite a bit of Hair algae and some cyano. Does anyone have experience with a Niger Trigger and a clean up crew? I would like to add some Mexican Turbo snails and either red or blue legged hermit crabs. Do you think the Trigger will bother the invert's or is it hit or miss?

Yes triggers are not very good with inverts. more than likely it will eat your crabs and snails.

My Niger has never shown any interest in snails or large hermits. However any small to medium sized hermits are toast.

I personally have a very large hermit and several golf-ball size snails in with my FOWLR tank......no probs! Even my 14" puffer can't get at them...

I was thinking of at least some large Mexican turbo snails should be okay. The trigger is still pretty small for now.

They may or may not be. It's hard to predict with nigers. One thing you will know for sure is that if he does start eating them, he won't stop.

My Niger show no interest in crabs or snails of any size unless they go into his sleeping area, then he just picks them up and drops them off someplace else.
