Exclamation lemon peel & yellow tang

I puchased a lemon peel angel today, and my yellow tang is stripping his fins a little. the tang does not seem to let the angel settle anywhere in the tank he doesn't chase him all the time but when ever he runs into him he slightly attacks. I have them in a 55 gallon I also have a 30 and was wondering if they get to bad
should i put the tang in the 30 for a day or two?
any input on these two being together would be appreciated

thanx

I would return the angel to where you got it. You have a pretty crowded system there and the tang is probably stressed already so he is aggressive to the new addition. If I were to move a fish to the 30 it would be the angel. He would be more tollerant of the smaller tank. Good luck

I know thats probably what i'll have to do, I 've had great results mixing fish your not supposed put together. ( a habit picked up in fresh ) I turned the lights back off and they seem to be ok. if they don't get along in a day or so i'll put the angel in the 30. I was skepticle my self but my LFS got it by accident so she gave it to me for $10 I couldn't resist it i'll let you know what happens.

m a no0b but i read lotsa times that when species look alike, eg. in color, they tend to get territorial and aggresive. mbe the tang mistook the angel as a competing tang or sumthing. i am most probably wrong btw

just my 0.00001cents

The lemon peel angel should have been added before the yellow tang. Reason the yellow tang would be the more aggressive fish. The tang will outgrow your current 55 gallon tank. Unless you plan on upgrading say to a 125 gallon on down the line, I would return the tang. When adding fish to our systems we should plan on adding, the less aggressive fish first.
