For what you will spend on there 3 and 4 stage RO only unit, you will be able to purchase a good RO-DI unit from one of our sponsers ie: The Filter Guys, Air Water Ice, etc. Go with a company that are experts in water purification. Good Luck Dave |

Anyway malawi, I had the coralife unit for about 2 weeks. It would not consistently make the amount of water that it claimed it would. My unit from the filter guys in my conditions makes about 68 gallons per day. My coralife would only make 25ish. And the tds out of the corallife was around 27, now with the filterguys its 0.
For 135 with the filterguys you can get a 75gpd unit that does di also. |

You win. Arguing on the internet is such a waste of time.

I've had the Coralife RO 25gpd for about a year now. It's okay, but I wouldn't say it's one of the best on the market. I bought the add-on DI canister for it and my TDS comes out at about 2 (it should in theory be 0) now.
I plan on getting a new one when it comes time to replace the membrane in the unit. Membranes are almost as expensive as the unit itself, so it'll be more cost effective to just replace the unit.

That is weird, If you added the DI, it should be 0. If it has been 2 the whole time there could be something wrong with the unit, or the tds meter could be off. If it was 0 in the beginning then the DI media is beginning to become exhausted. |

The TDS meter is probably off. I also havn't checked it in a while, so it's possible that there was still some residual water in my RO tank from before I added the DI.
I've never really thought much of it though. We (had) well water that was so full of Iron that the RO carbon/micron filters were being exhausted too quickly. I was just happy to have everything in the single digits. We've got a completely new well now, though, so it probably is 0.
