new nano question

i have a 110 now but my wife would like to have a small tank for her ..i was looking at the aquapod 12 w/the hqi lighting ..is this a good tank and from what i can see it looks like the skimmer is all built in .. any in put would be nice thanks all

Very nice little set up. Unless they changed you have to buy the skimmer seperate. The overflow filtration is built in. I think the skimmer they designed for it is calmed a Fission Skimmer, it tends to be a little difficult to adjust but for what it is and what it costs it works descent. I think it is only like 35 or 40 bucks, so you can't expect miracles I guess. Like with any nano your best bet is probably frequent water changes.

I have a 12 gallon aquapod with the 70 watt MH. I love this setup and have had a lot of fun with it. I don't have a skimmer on my, I just do weekly to bi-weekly water changes.
