water changes importance

Hi,

Water changes really improve coral health and grow. Did you notice the yellowish colour of the water that's in our reefs? Even when the water looks crystal clear just take a gallon or two and compare it with new water in a white bucket. I don't use ozone or UV just activated carbon from time to time.

So I decided to be more pro-active in these two prop tanks and have change their routine maintenance: 40l/11gal (hard coral tank) and 60l/16gal (soft coral tank) weekly water change and siphoning of the sediments.

New photos from yesterday (soft coral tank):

I've always done weekly water changes of your size and I truly believe they are key to keeping the system healthy. Nice work on your system by the way! Everything looks top notch and the corals look very healthy

THANK YOU....what an incredible thread. Love to see the tank construction and population of them. If you come across any more building of your tanks...that would be helpful.

Thanks again

Thanks for the tip skeeter-doc, I add a mandarin to the upper tank and now the flatworms are gone, now I'm trying to put it in the lower tank but is not an easy task, maybe I'll get another.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.

Photo update soon (must clean the glass first).
