Need help decinding on new camera
Im having trouble deciding on a new digital camera. i have about a $400-$450 budget that i want to work with. So far I am leaning towards the Fuji S5100. The features that I'm looking for are:
*fast shutter speed *best Macro shots *and of course zooming capablilties. Its time to get rid of my outdated HP 318! Any help or suggestions would be great. BTW is this a good deal if I do go with the S5100 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...me=STRK:MEWA:IT Thank You Jason

I know it is out of your budget, but the Canon Digital Rebels have been coming down in price. I have seen them for $650-$750. Being an SLR, you cannot go wrong and it will acoomodate everything you listed above.

Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ5 - it's got a Leica 12x optical (I think it's 12x - might be 10x) 2.8 lens. That lens on a leica slr body would run over a $1000 alone. German lenses are held in higher regard than Nikon, Canon, Minolta, ect... Darn good chunk of glass. It also has optical image stabilization, which takes the "shake" out of handholding, especially at higher zoom ranges.
Kodak has a 10x camera also right now that is pretty impressive. Not sure which model, but it has a Schneider lens (another super high quality german lens manufacturer) and can be had for under $300....
