I get my phyto from Reed Mariculture. I used his products for years now (cryopreserved) and I recently picked up his newer line, Phytofeast LIve ( http://www.phyto-feast.com/ ) It has a much higher cell count then DT's. Great stuff.

I've been feeding DT's since I setup my tank two years ago. My feeding rate is ~25ml per day in a 25 gallon tank. I don't have corals in this tank, but I have a huge population of sponges, feather dusters and other filter feeders.

I have just ordered a bottle of Phyto-Feast to try. Everthing I have read indicates that it is more concentrated and has a greater diversity of algae than DT's. If this proves to be true then I will save a bit of money by using the Phyto-Feast.

I must admit that purchasing the live phytoplankton is really expensive, even with a tank as small as mine. Now that I have started to make my own two-part calcium/alkalinity solution, I think that I will focus some effort on growing my own phytoplankton cultures.
