Advice please acan owners

I recently moved and one of my lords did not fare well in the move, I thought I lost it. The middle of the frag is dead but one side of a polyp still has color... it has not inflated in 2 weeks but it also has not lost color. Should I try to break the piece with color off or just hope for the best? any chance it will survive? I've never had one die on me and dont know how long it takes the polyp to completly die but shouldnt it be white by now if its going to all die off?

thanks for any help

leave it as it is. trying to frag it up will opnly cause it more stress. try to feed it some cyclopeeze and see if it will eat...

I agree with Bcollins. The best thing to do right now is just move it out of direct light and keep an eye on it. Low flow, Low light, and light feed. It should be fine in a couple weeks. Good Luck=)

Thank you both, I've tried to feed it but it seems to stress it more so I just moved it out of the light ... I've only got PC's but its still in the shade now. Cross your fingers for me

i had a couple of frags that took more cutting than the rest and maybe got hot?and they looked like poo doo but they are now regrowing a polyp everywhere there was flesh left on the skeleton!they are very good at starting over from little to nothing and getting back to health.once you see them trying to feed give them some mysis and its all downhill from there! just like a fungia or chalice dont throw the skeleton away and never give up!!

i second that i lost an acan frag for 2 months until i found it in my star polyps, looked like death, but some color and tissue were still there so i am trying to get it healthy again, it does seem to look better day by day, so i think im on the right path.
