cant seem to find much info on pectinia

search function gets worse every day it seems. ive had this pectinia for a couple months now and it seems to be doing very well. cant find much info browsing the forum. anyone ever frag one of these?

About picked one up this weekend that was a rainbow morph but here is some info, another common name for it is cabbage coral. Feed it phyto-plankton if you like...


Moderate Lighting, Moderate to Medium Flow, Can place it anywhere in the tank. It is SPS by the way so you might want to ask in the SPS forum

the sps guys say its lps. this is a very confusing coral. ive seen it labeled as sps in some places and lps in others.

i bought another one that was in bad shape and want to see if i can frag it. i hate to take a knife to anything without knowing where to cut.

its the same familly as Echinophyllia, so r they both sps or lps?

LPS, I would venture to say that's not a Small Polyped species!
