...the 125 system is up and running.

The stand and canopy were built by my step father. The stand is welded steel tube with an oak veneer. It matches the kitchen almost perfectly.

Awsome aquascapeing Matt! I love the tower of live rock in the center. How did you do that? Any special steps? What are you using for a return pump? Lastly tell your step father he did a nice job on the stand and canopy.

I like the interesting way you stacked the rocks in the forth picture. Also, the stand and canopy are really nice.

So, moving the 55...does that mean you will have tankS by any chance?

The tower in the center has a PVC frame under it. I found the big flat rock in a batch of rock I bought from Brian Gast for school. (The tank was his as well so I hope he reads this) As I funded the entire saltwater project at my old school, I didn't feel bad about keeping what I wanted when I switched schools. (As a side note my current school is so happy with my efforts they just bought two 150hqi halide setups for the tanks. My students are going to propogate corals but that's for another thread...) The PVC came from my porch. When they were building my porch they left hollow 6X6 blocks so I grabbed all the scraps. The whole underside of the rock-work is elevated to allow flow and there is a seio 900 blowing water across the back of the tank. I drilled holes in the back of the rocks on the tower and zip tied them together. The whole thing is anchored to a piece of egg crate that is buried in the sand.
I got the idea from a tank Anthony Calpho built but I couldn't make the table as wide as I wanted because the structure is too top heavy. I'm planting monti cap's around the edge of it in order to encourage it to widen.
The return pump is a sequence hammerhead attached to an ocean's motions squirt. The squirt currently cycles between two sets of return lines with two penductors each. I have the other lines capped off with ball valves I will be adding at least two more penductors.

Well I'll have a 10 gallon sump and a 5 gallon refugium, but the 55 is going to become my refugium.

Tank is looking awesome. Massive skimmer, 220V return pump to help reduce tha good ole utility bill... Massive plumbing through out. The stand & canopy were built with great attention to detail.

Whisper quiet upstairs! I like the simplicity of service with this setup. Its home for a future great monthly meeting. A Job well done Matt.

Thanks all, for the compliments. I will host a meeting soon, but I would like to see some of my corals start to take hold before I do that.

The old 55gal moved in (with Kris's help, Thanks Kris) and now houses a 6" DSB and a bale of Chaeto

Calcium reactor will be going in soon, I need to get a washer for the CO2 regulator.

When you say "washer", do you mean the "washer" that goes between the CO2 tank and the regulator? If so (and i assume not), one is always provided with every CO2 refill at Carbonics.

Yep thats the one, I got half a tank of gas and no washer. I'll need to pick one up on Saturday. What are you using for a feed pump on your Ca reactor?
