There are a whole bunch of salts you didn’t mention – especially that new one by TAAM (Real Ocean I think). Currently I am mixing Oceanic and Reef Crystals together (for about three months) – fifty fifty. Once I am down to one bucket of each I’m going to try TAAMs salt. I know a few people that have been using it and say its great; mixes clear, quickly and has good levels of calcium, alk and magnesium.

I use IO, its seems to be a good mix and because all stores have it in stock! I hate hopping from store after store for a certain salt mix. For example, I have never seen Tropic Marin and I hardly see Oceanic sold locally by me.

It's called ocean pure.

I use NSW 'cause I live near the beach and can get it from a university who uses it in their research and it's filtered very well.

When it rains bad and I need salt because I have no NSW stored, I use IO. Tried oceanic but had a really bad alage outbreak. Went back to IO and it cleared up. Never had any problems with NSW.

I am glad to see how many of you are using Instant Ocean, looks like I made a good choice when buying salt.

I use a Japanese salt called Formula. Wasn't on the list and no "other" category. Good calcium, alk etc. and no algea or cyno outbreaks.
