Smile Generational hobbiest?

Anyone else here into the hobby cause of their family? My Dad has always had a tank up since I can remember. Switched back and forth from salt to fresh. Didn't have a 'proper' setup, just a FW bio wheel or other HOB filter. Most of it was stuff we caught from the beach/fishing though. Definitely what lead me here though. Once I started a tank of my own, researched online and read as much as I could. Really opened my eyes. Now that I have him 'in the know' lol we both are much better off.

Anyone else have stories?

No voting option for my reason: the child (family relations, not the age) wanted an aquarium. As it happens, didn't wanted to be involved in keeping it alive, leaving it to me. And, because I'm not good with sand (planted FW tank) - moved to SW, with family (not only children) approval.
Everybody is involved now, I'm still the general manager/janitor/research and development.

Dendro, took me a lil' bit to figure that one out lol. At first I thought you were only into SW because of the child's tank. I think you 'dragged' everyone in the family into the hobby lol, so the last one is probably closest.

Thanks for all the votes. Anyone else?

Didn't drag, sorry - not my style. Happen to have the sympathetic fish.
