Tank White after new sand added NEED HELP!

Well i added my sand last night around 7 or so and my tank is still solid white this morning. The sand was carrib sea agra alive, about 160 lbs ( 8 bags ) to my 210 gallon.Sand was added after there was water in it ( had no choice but to do it this way).I have been running blue filter floss and a small piece of micron filter pad but it does not seem to be working.Tank has been running with salt in it fully for about 2 days. Also should i turn my skimmer on.I don't know if it will do anything or just go nutz.I was supposed to pick up my rock today at 1pm and i cant even see where to put it in the tank. Thanks Mike!

It will take 24-48hrs to clear. Maybe even longer. I usually will attached my magnum 350 canister when I add sand that way it clears up quick. But give it time it will clear

Skimmer yes... Even then it may take weeks to completely clear. Keep doing what your doing and rinse out the filterpads every day. I would just put the rock in the tank and keep blowing it off. I've had great success also running a hot magnum with the micron cartridge to clear things up in a hurry.

Mine was white for about 5 days then I added some LR to get the cycle going. It settled out overnight when the tank started to cycle.

Strange but true.

+1 keep the filters clean, maybe even run carbon if you can.
