Talking My upgrade begins.....finally

Well I am in the process of upgrading and just starting a typical build thread for help and info. I already have the tank/stand/light.

Tank and stand is a AGA 210 RR with maple mission stand.
72x24x30

[IMG][/IMG]

Light is Aquactinic Constellation

Not sure what skimmer I will be running but I'm sure it won't be my current DNW-200 as it's to tall for the stand and all equipment has to be inside the cabinet on this one (wife's recommendation) ha..ha.. Probably going to go with an in-sump skimmer just not sure which one.

Need to get a sump/refugium also so if you have one available let me know.

This is all I got so far other than some equipment im currently using in my 120.

Not going to do SPS in this tank just LPS,Softies,Zoas and fish.

Not sure of what size return pump I need so any recommendations???

more to come

If you are doing these corals why do you want to skim? Are you planning on a ton of extra large fish?

Great looking tank and lights!

what are you thinking for fish? I'm with Phil,I would rather go with softies and macro algae to clean up the water, and then light skimming for the waste. if theres a lot of fish

For the amount of fish we are going to have, a skimmer is going to be a requirement plus the fact that I think tanks look more polished when a skimmer is ran on the system. Probably not going to run macro refugium, not completely decided yet but pretty sure. It just depends on the sump I purchase if it has a area for it or not. I don't think one will be needed if a quality skimmer is used.

I'm thinking about using the least amount of rock in the display with the majority in the sump. I have about 250 lbs. to play with. Wife wants a canyon aquascape, I want two small islands. She's just going to have to change her mind.

That is what my 5 year old nephew shared with me at dinner tonight, so I thought I would pass it along. good luck with the new tank

I read the whole thread.Quite the tragedy with his tank springing a leak but happy it came out alright for him.
