Return pump?

If my overflow drains at 800 gph to the sump, does the return pump have to be the same outflow of 800gph??? Is this suficient for a 55g reef setup?? Suggestions!!

I'd say MAG 9.5 will do. It is rated at 950GPH with 0' head pressure. It is about 750GPH at 4' head pressure. I'd use a ball valve on the output to regulate the water flow to your liking.
