ID on red coral orange tips on elegant coral shell
I have these same thigns growing on both elegant corals. they are bright red, and the longer ones have orange tips (grown to about 3 inches now). The only place they grow in the tank are on the elegant corals shell. If I bump them, they are kind of spongy jellow-ishy and spring back to their initial position. They are tubular and semi transparent.
I'm sure they're very common, but I have no clue as to what they are. |

Hard to tell from the description; a picture would help if possible. A guess would be tunicate(s)?

I found out what this is today, its actually an algae called "Nemastosa" (I think thats how you spell it).
The really odd and cool thing about it is that it only grows out of the elegance coral shells. Its very pretty for a type of algae |
