46 Gal tank on carpet?

Ok heres whats going on. My dad is gunna get a bigger tank and Im going to get his old one. which would be a 46 bow. I want to put it in my room, but my room is capreted. Is there a problem with putting a tank of that size on the carpet? Also under the carpet is a hard wood floor, if that makes any difference.

I'd put a piece of plywood underneath it, but that's me. Honestly, it probably doesn't matter much.

I'd be afraid of accidently kicking the tank when I got up at night to get something.

My 58g tank is on carpet upstairs in my room. The tank is level, and when I took the tank down before setting it back up, the carpet wasn't matted down so much it couldn't be perked back up.

My 30 gallon is also in my room wich is carpeted. I don't have any problems with it, other than the urg to pee ever half an hour when i first set it up...
